Following the Rules: Learning about Respect.
Build Strong Character and Reading Skills
Following the Rules teaches children the importance of respect. Being fair when playing games, never calling anyone names, looking at others when being spoken to, waiting one.s turn in line, and taking care of property are examples of some of the activities that this 16 page book offers. By giving relevant examples of activities that occur in a child.s day, young readers and listeners can identify with how to show respect. Written in rhyme, it becomes a read-along / sing-along book with accompanying instrumental music when paired with the Character Readers CD. Children will enjoy the fanciful drawings of mice as they learn the rules. At the back of the book, there is a related craft activity that helps children show their understanding of how to show respect.
